Dru Johnston is a writer and performer from Issaquah, Washington, a small town that rapidly expanded due to Microsoft. He received a BA in Theatre Arts from Whitman College and soon there-after moved out to New York City, lived in Harlem, but then moved to Brooklyn. Once out here his one-act play Interrogation Room reached the semi-finals in the Strawberry One Act Festival, and he began to study improv and sketch comedy at UCB. Along with The New Deal you can see Dru perform with the Improv group Bender around the city. Peanut M&Ms are the only M&Ms. | |

Alex Demers grew up hard in Massachusetts, got schooled in Theatre and English (what) at Skidmore College, where he was a member of the sketch troupe, “The Sketchies”, no, seriously, we were called “The Sketchies” — I know, seriously — then trucked it down to the BK, where he currently lives-the-dream large in BedStuy. He’s an actor and an improviser, performing with 4Squares and kicking it at The Magnet and UCB theatres old school when he’s not on the block with The New Deal. “Keep it real up in this piece.” (Phrase: (C) Alex Demers: 2003) |
